Prayer is one of the foundational elements of every religion because it involves submitting your will to a higher power and asking God for His guidance, which can lead you out of the most difficult times of your life. Unless we truly desire to change and sincerely wish to understand God’s teachings, we cannot hope to make lasting positive changes in our lives.

God rewards his believers and followers and makes life more meaningful for those who have devoted themselves to His teachings. We are all susceptible to the temptations of evil and the deceptions of Satan, which can manipulate us into leading an improper life. For this reason, it is crucial that we devote ourselves to prayer to ask God to enlighten our paths and lead us into heaven. 

Seek Context 
Oftentimes, we are so zoomed into our lives that we fail to gain clarity and see the bigger picture, which is why we must seek out the context for many of the verses in the Bible, especially ones that we don’t fully understand. We should strive to become aware of our inner biases so that we may approach God’s truth with a clear heart and pure intentions to dig out the most meaningful truth for our circumstances. Although it is not easy to reach pure objectivity because of the way our minds interpret information, it is certainly possible to become more neutral and not identify ourselves with our social conditioning.
